18-year-old AFI (shorthand for “A Fire Inside”) has an
impressive eight full-length albums under their belts, with one certified
platinum and another gold in the states. The alternative rock band from Ukiah,
California first received mainstream attention after "Days of the Phoenix” from
2000’s The Art of Drowning started receiving radio airtime. Then in
2003, Sing the Sorrow continued the group on their path to greater
exposure as fans gobbled up the songs, which maneuvered through all kinds of
rock niches: goth, emo, punk and alternative.
Finally, in 2006, decemberunderground was released and the single “Miss Murder” made AFI a household acronym. After touring extensively for that album, Davey Havok, Adam Carson, Hunter Burgan and Jade Puget hit the studio and released Crash Love at the end of 2009. This year, the band is opening for Green Day on tour; just another impressive feat in a long and fruitful rock career.

Green Day is more likable based on their singles and presentation therefore they have a bigger fanbase. if youre incapable of seeing that, thats why youre merely an AFI fan and nothing else. nevertheless, enjoy the show.
