Jaren Johnston was ready to follow in his father’s footsteps as a drummer until the latter warned, “If you want to pay the bills, you play the drums. If you want to make a living, you’ll learn how to write songs.” Johnston heeded the advice and became the singer/guitarist for Bang Bang Bang, alongside guitarist Ben Brown, bassist Kelby Ray and drummer Neil Mason.

Now using the moniker American Bang, the Nashville foursome recorded their self-titled major label debut with celebrated producer Bob Rock after he was blown away by their live show. The pulsating first single, “Whiskey Walk," beckons more calls to the arenas.
