Gary McCann (aka Caspa) grew up on jungle and hip-hop,
frequenting garage raves in his youth. After an injury ended a potential
basketball career, Caspa became one of the forefathers of dubstep as a DJ,
producer and tastemaker. A tune he made under the pseudonym Quiet Storm called
“Bass Bins” was picked up on BBC radio, and he decided to start his own label,
Storming Productions, in 2004.
He has since founded sister labels Dub Police and Sub Soldiers, releasing a three-track 12-inch EP on each. His debut full-length, Everybody’s Talking, Nobody’s Listening!, has garnered significant buzz.
