Pianist Ben Thornewill, guitarist Tommy Siegel and drummer Jesse Kristin met in 2004 at George Washington University, and Jukebox the Ghost has been the guys’ full-time gig since they graduated in 2007. Often compared to piano-pop institution Ben Folds, the band released their debut, Let Live and Let Ghosts, in 2008. Spin called the group a buzz band that year, proclaiming, “Jukebox the Ghost is a refreshing reminder that the lighthearted electricity of a fantastic pop song is still filled with live wires.” The group’s sophomore effort is close to completion.

BBU is hands down my favorite chicago group at the moment. I discovered the group last year thru one of my friends. and I have been fervently hooked to the music and the artist. I love the fusion of dope juking beats with some powerful protest messages. There is few groups these days that does that affectively. I've also seen BBU perform on numerous occasions include at their mixtape release party and they always put on a stellar performance. If there's any new group you'd like to discover this year. BBU would DEFINETELY be a great choice. I wish all the best to the guys and continued success in all their endeavors. cisco questions//citrix questions//comptia questions//eccouncil papers//emc exam questions//000-032 papers//000-105 papers//000-106 papers//

ch.at1500 , about 1 year agoWent to see an opening band at a show and stuck around for these guys by chance and they were very impressive. They are very tight and clean. You can tell they are classically trained musicians (if they are not, they sure fooled me). They are entertaining to watch too. I bought their album on iTunes after the show. Very good stuff and fun. I'm only 26, but I'm pretty sure this is the first band I have respected that is younger than me. It will be interesting to see how they grow/mature as a band as they get older. If I am not mistaken they will be in town a week before Lolla.
